Shipping policy

At The Brew Society, we want your order to arrive safely, on time, and beautifully presented. Here's everything you need to know about how we ship.


1. Order Processing

  • Orders are processed within 1–2 business days of payment confirmation.
  • Orders placed over weekends or on public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
  • You'll receive an email confirmation once your order has been dispatched.

2. Delivery Timeframes

  • Major metros (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban): 2–3 business days
  • Regional areas: 3–5 business days
  • Remote or outlying areas: 5–7 business days

Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occur during peak periods (e.g. festive season, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day).

3. Shipping Rates

  • Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and order weight.
  • Free shipping is available on orders over R850.
  • Same-day delivery is available in Cape Town for orders placed before 12pm — select at checkout.

4. Tracking Your Order

  • Once dispatched, you'll receive a tracking number via email.
  • Use this to monitor your delivery in real time through our courier's tracking portal.

5. Delivery Requirements

  • Please ensure a valid contact number and complete delivery address (including suburb and postal code) are provided at checkout.
  • If no one is available to receive the parcel, the courier may attempt redelivery the following business day or hold the parcel at a local depot.

6. Failed Deliveries & Redelivery

  • If delivery is unsuccessful after two attempts, the parcel may be returned to us.
  • There are no redelivery fees for failed deliveries.
  • The Brew Society is not liable for failed deliveries due to incorrect address information provided at checkout.

7. Damaged or Lost Parcels

  • If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@thebrewsociety.co.za with photos and your order number.
  • If your parcel appears to be lost in transit, please contact us and we'll liaise with the courier on your behalf.

8. Gift Edit Subscriptions

  • Subscription orders are shipped on a recurring schedule communicated at sign-up.
  • Shipping costs for subscription orders are charged separately and confirmed at the time of sign-up.
