What is a Gift Edit?

A Gift Edit is our curated selection of premium products handpicked for gifting and centered around your favourite warm beverage. Each item is chosen for its quality, presentation, and ability to delight.

How do the Gift Edit subscriptions work?

The Gift Edit subscription is a curated gifting experience delivered to your door on a recurring basis. Here's how it works:

  • Choose your plan - Select a monthly or fortnightly plan based on your preference or budget. Your order will be processed for delivery after payment has been confirmed.
  • Flexible delivery - Your Gift Edit ships on a set schedule so you never have to think about it.
  • Easy to manage - Log in to your account to pause or cancel your subscription. This can be done after the first three deliveries.
  • Beautifully packaged - Every Gift Edit arrives gift-ready, no wrapping required!
What is your return policy?
We want every The Brew Society delivery to arrive in perfect condition. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, please reach out to us with a photo and your order number within 24 hours of receiving your order. We will make it right with a refund or a credit note to the value of the damaged item. Please note that we do not accept returns as we work with perishable products.
Do you offer same-day delivery?

Yes! We offer same-day delivery on orders so you can send a thoughtful gift, even at the last minute.

  • Available areas - Same-day delivery is currently available in Cape Town only.
  • Order cut-off time - Place your order before 12pm to qualify for same-day delivery.
  • Select at checkout - Simply choose the same-day delivery option at checkout and we will get your order out to you the same day.
  • Gift-ready - Your order will arrive beautifully packaged, just as if you'd planned it weeks in advance!

Same-day delivery is subject to stock availability and order cut-off times. Orders placed after the cut-off will be dispatched the following business day.

Can you guide me through the delivery process?

Once you place your order, here's what happens next:

  • Order confirmation - You will receive an email confirmation as soon as your order is successfully placed.
  • Processing & packing - Your order is carefully picked, packed, and packaged.
  • Dispatch - Once your parcel is handed over to one of our couriers, you will receive a tracking number via email so you can follow your delivery.
  • Delivery - Standard delivered typically takes 2-5 business days depending on the delivery location within South Africa. Remote areas may take longer.
  • Delivered! - Your order arrives gift-ready.

Please ensure someone is available to receive the order as couriers may not always be able to leave your order unattended.

What is your redelivery process?

If one of our couriers is unable to deliver your order, here's what to expect:

  • Failed delivery attempt - The courier will leave a calling card or an SMS/email notification to let you know they tried.
  • Redelivery attempt -
  • Order held at depot - If delivery is unsuccessful after two attempts, your order may be held at the courier's local depot for collection. We will notify you with the depot details.
  • Return to vendor - If the order is not collected after the holding period, it will be returned to us. In this case, a redelivery fee will be applied to resend your order.

To avoid failed deliveries, please ensure all shipping and contact details are correct at checkout, and that someone is available to receive the parcel.

What information is needed for a successful delivery?

To ensure your order arrives safely and on time, please make sure the following details are provided at checkout:

  • Full name - The recipient's full name as it should appear on the package.
  • Complete delivery address - Include the unit/flat number, street address, suburb, city and postal code.
  • Contact number - A phone number for the courier to reach the recipient if needed.
  • Delivery instructions - Any access codes, gate details or special instructions (i.e. "leave at reception" or "call on arrival").
  • Correct email address - We will need your (the buyer's) email address so we can send your order confirmation and tracking details.

Please ensure that the recipient is available at the provided address on the day of delivery.

Can I request a delivery for a specific time-slot?

Unfortunately we are unable to guarantee delivery at a specific time as our couriers operate on scheduled routes determined for the day.

For time-sensitive gifts, we recommend placing your order with enough lead time and selecting the fastest available shipping option at checkout.

Is the shipping fee included in the price?

Shipping is not included in the product price and is calculated separately at checkout.
